feature friday: Jen.

Something I’m learning about working with seniors is they haven’t been jaded by the world yet. They have pure hearts with wonderful intensions and it’s so inspiring & rewarding to hear their passion when talking about their future. Jen is no exception, if not to lead the youth parade to great places! Her smile is powerful. It makes you smile back. And your mood is lifted and your heart is full. I know God has great plans for this beautiful young woman & I’m so proud to show her off!!

“When I went to look for someone to shoot my senior pictures, I wanted something that wasn’t your stereotypical “sit up against a wall and give a generic smile.” I wanted a photographer who could encompass all of my favorite things into a snap shot. Merritt far exceeded my expectations and wishes. She was able to include all of my interests and my personality into a picture in a creative and innovative way.”

“My favorite thing is making other people feel their worth. My perfect day would include laughing, watching old movies, being with family, soccer, and singing. If I had a celebrity play me in a movie, it would be a mix between Ellen Degeneres, Melissa McCarthy, Will Smith, or Kid President. My dream summer job would be helping disabled orphans in Jamaica. ”
