feature friday: tara

When I decided to go into business for myself I had started with an idea that I would primarily shoot babies, kid, & families. I hadn’t experienced anything outside of these genres, making it difficult to envision loving anything more. Maybe it’s because of the fun I had with Tara, a whole new world opened up to my business. I LOVE working with seniors. And having Tara as my senior rep this year was one of the best decisions I have made.

The senior experience that I offer is a bit different than most. I take the time to get to know the girls and I try to cater to an experience designed for them. This lets a cool bond develop and leaves me feeling quite attached and proud of the girls. And I’m extremely proud of Tara! I recently shared an article written about Tara that discussed her hard work ethic & talents, marking her as quite an amazing and special athlete. It couldn’t be more true. But she’s also so humble and sweet! She’s genuine & beautiful! She’s silly & poised!  And I adore her face!

Meet Tara:

“No words could begin to explain my experience working with Merritt Lee Photography. Let me first say Merritt and her staff are the most amazing, creative, and fun group of women! Stunning does not justify the type of photography Merritt captures. It is simply beautiful, unique, and vulnerable images. When I first saw Merritt’s work I was absolutely taken back by the perfection of every single shot. As well as her style was exactly what I was looking for in my senior pictures. I’m into my neutral colors and I love vintage! Also I LOVE to be different! Everything I wanted was exactly what Merritt Lee Photography was about. I knew I wanted my senior pictures at the beach and when I mentioned it to Merritt without hesitation she told me perfect we’ll go to Lake Erie. Nevertheless, she was super workable with my schedule and well those pictures speak for themselves….strikingly gorgeous. Talking more about the experience itself, I was treated like nothing less than a princess/model. First you sit there as the super talented Giovanna Lein does your makeup and hair and makes you beautiful! Secondly, you pick out all the fun outfits you brought and start shooting. Merritt is super fun and she has a way of capturing you at your most vulnerable point. Everything is ALWAYS super cute. Overall, I would not trade this experience for anything and I would recommend this to anyone who loves to be different, outgoing, and pampered for a day! Despite all the beautiful words I can use to describe Merritt Lee Photography, the work truly speaks for itself. ♡ ♡ Tara”
